Heaven Gateaway : Cabana Beach Resort at Bintan

A great story starts from a great place…

Putting aside the city’s hustle-bustle and relaxing under the sun of Trikora Beach, Bintan, was such a magnificent weekend I spent with 6 of my friends. We stayed over a night in Cabana Beach resort. It has a fantastic private beach with tranquil, warm, and glimmering sea water. Scattering not far from the foreshore, some giant boulders emerge beautifully from the sea surface, overawed the tourists and took their breath away. I and my friends were hasty to the water; bursting exaggeratedly broke the calmness of the sea without waves. We swarmed around the gigantic rocks, climbed, laid, and watched the fishes.

After an hour or two playing around the beach, we decided to ride some water sports: Banana Boats, Flying Fish, and Big Marble. The peaceful of Cabana’s beach can’t be jerked, so we had to take a free shuttle bus to Agro Bintan resort to experience the thrill of the adrenaline rush from those extreme water sports. After that we had a dinner at Sun Moon Kelong, a seafood floating restaurant inside the resort… I have to admit, the seafood was awesome, and I personally recommend you to try the black pepper crabs and chilly crabs!!

When the sun had gone down, millions of stars came out. Something that I have been always missed since I stayed in big cities. The sparkling of the stars, never failed to amaze me. And for the first time of my life I watched meteor rains… the “stars” were falling, and I was too astonished until I forgot to make wishes. If only I could capture them……

The day after, we went home with smiles and Otak-otak in our hand…

The story of Trikora beach Bintan will be last forever, not in our memory, but in our pictures… LOL.

The Grand Buddha Tooth Relic Temple

Located at the heart of Chinatown The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is a popular attraction being a prominent landmark and place of worship. In accordance with The Great Compassionate Vows of The Maitreya Buddha, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple (Singapore) seeks to be the best Buddhist cultural complex in the region. Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is a newly built temple in Singapore's Chinatown. It is located along South Bridge Road, between Sago St and Sago Lane. The founders of the temple include the Venerable Shi Fa Zhao, abbot of the Singapore Golden Pagoda Buddhist Temple and the Venerable U Settka Parla Maha Saddhamamajotikadaja, the abbot of Bandulla Monastery in Mrauk-U, Myanmar.

The temple was built to house relics of the Buddha which were presented to the Ven. Shi Fa Zhao, when he and an entourage was on a pilgrimage in Sri Lanka in March 1992. The handing over of the relics was presided by Sri Lankan President, Ranasinghe Premadasa.

The design of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple was conceptualised by the Ven. Shi Fa Zhao, with help from local and foreign consultants. The idea was to create a temple that follows Tang Dynasty architectural style, and incorporating the concept of the Mandala, or Buddhist universe.

Ground breaking of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple took place on 13 March, 2005. The temple, which has five levels and a basement, cost about S$60 million and was completed in early 2007. The temple is dedicated to the Maitreya Buddha, that is to say, the Buddha of the Future. The most significant feature of the temple is the two-meter solid gold stupa.

Entrance (Ground Floor)
The main entrance to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is at South Bridge Road, through the Mountain Gate, which ushers you into serenity of the temple. The gate has three doors framed by massive columns of balautimber. On your left is the Drum Tower while on your right the Bell Tower. At time of writing (November 2008), there is no admittance fees into the temple. Next to the Bell Tower is the Offering Shop, where devotees can purchase worship paraphernalia.

Ground Floor
The main shrine of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is the 100 Dragons Hall. It is located immediately beyond the courtyard on the ground level. The hall has a soaring 27-feet high ceiling, and enshrined within is the image of the Maitreya Buddha, carved of wood in Tang Dynasty style. Behind the 100 Dragons Hall is another chamber dedicated to the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, often described as the Kuan Yin or goddess of mercy. It sits on an elaborate lotus throne.

Mezzanine Floor
As we go up one level, to the mezzanine floor, we arrive at the Dharma Hall. The main image here is again the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Also on the Mezzanine floor of the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is the Eminent Sangha Museum, which displays wax replicas of famous monks. An ancestral tablets chamber, with the image of the Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha is located at the rear of the mezzanine floor.

Second Floor
Going up one level, we arrive at the second floor, which houses the Manjushri Hall and the Lotus Heart Teahouse. The Manjushri Hall displays Buddhist religious art and calligraphy. Buddhist text such as the Maha-pranjna-paramita Sutra is housed here. The Lotus Heart Teahouse is a place for visitors to take a rest while visiting the temple. It serves tea as well as vegetarian food.

Third Floor
The third floor is where the Sacred Buddha Relics Chamber is located. Photography is strictly forbidden here (elsewhere in the temple, non-flash photography is permitted). The relics come in different colors and appearances. The biggest are golden, and are relics that came from the flesh. Housed here are relics of eminent monks. In addition to the Sacred Relics Chamber, also on the third floor is Samantabhadra Hall, which exhibits about 300 Buddhist artefacts from all three branches of Buddhism, and originated from many different countries including Pakistan, Korea, Myanmar, and others.

Fourth Floor
We have arrived at the top floor, and perhaps the most important floor. This is where the Sacred Light Hall is located. In this hall is the Sacred Buddha Tooth Relic Chamber, which will be the repository of the sacred Buddha tooth. It is the 2-meter tall solid gold stupa that weighs 420 kg. The gold was donated by devotees. The stupa is sheltered by a gold canopy while the floor of the chamber is lined with gold tiles. Only the monks will have access to the inner chamber to conduct ceremonies. Visitors will however be able to observe the rites from the viewing gallery. The chamber curtain is raised twice a day, at 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and again at 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, so that visitors can see inside the chamber when the monks - the Sangha - perform their blessing ceremony.

Visitors to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple are advised to dress decently when paying a visit to the temple.

Friday 6 May 2011-Saturday 7 May 2011 was one of the loveliest weekends I’ve ever had in Singapore. It’s not a usual outing and drinking for me, because that day I could meet my ex-colleagues both interns and validation permanent staffs. The event itself is actually a farewell for me, my dearest ex-supervisor-David arranged everything… he chose a cozy quiet restaurant in Arab Street, called Confuse Cook, and then we went to Nabins for sisha and drink.

Last Minutes at Lonza

April 29th is my last day working at Lonza. After 7 month working in validation department, I had a lot of fun and also learned a lot…my job desk was mainly calibrating Kaye Validator, I wont explain what Kaye Validator is, haha..it’s just too complicated to be explained. Beside that I learned a lot by helping other staff doing documentation, executing qualification and finishing the protocol.

I do really love Lonza, not just because I got pay really well, but the most important thing is I found the staffs are really nice to me. I love them so much, the securities are pleasant and smiley, I could meet other superb interns, either local or international interns. And what I love the most is, I could work with staff in Validation department. Somehow I feel I was part of the family.

I have a lovely supervisor (he will hate me because I say “lovely”), named David Cher. Sometime I wonder who supposed to help whom; because he’s so helpful… he always helped me whenever I found difficulties and troubles. He’s also a great friend who always ‘cheering’ and encourage me with his own unique way. When I met him at the first time, I almost couldn’t understand what he was talking about, yupe my English is sucks, and he talks really fast. He must thought I’m very stupid and regretted for picking me as his intern…. Haha… And then, there was a day when I fell sick and couldn’t work for 2 days, when I asked him permission for not working in those 2 days, he told me not to drink much…I was shocked, because those days I did go out with other intern for drink a lot. It mean they were gossiping…and I must be more careful… haha. I found him as a very rude person, I didn’t like him…I was afraid of him. But as the days passed by, I knew him more, and my opinion about him changed…despite the truth that he is rude, he’s kinda sweet, very nice, and always wants to make other people happy. Maybe He looks emotional, bad temper, and can’t control his tone, but actually he’s just a bit too sensitive. However, He’s funny, understanding, sympathetic, and generous. He always gave me advice, taught me, and forgave me if I did mistake hahaha…I’m glad he’s my supervisor.

I can’t be more thankful for getting opportunity working in validation department. Beside I met a marvelous supervisor, I also met a great director who always gave advices to me in the middle of his busy times. He’s a strict leader, smart, honest and direct; he’s fierce and charming at the same time.

Other validation staffs are wonderful. Kristine is one of my favorite. She is a very funny girl, friendly, and sooooo humble… she’s so positive, never did I saw her in a bad mood. Then, there’s Alyssa, a very cute girl who loves make silly pout face with her lips… Chiaw Xui, a petite girl who's so nice and kind. Wen Yen, a guy who’s the best teacher, he’s so good at explaining something. Aya, a lovely Korean lady. Aloys, a supervisor who has never failed at remembering everyone’s name. I just love them all….

It’s just so sad for me to leave them, really… I learned a lot from them. My gratitude to them will never end.

When my friend asked me where my favorite places to go for weekend in Singapore, i'd like to say nothing else except shopping malls and fine dining place. Doesn't much different compare to Jakarta. I have to say, since I love spending my time drinking with my fella, Singapore has several great places for just drinking and hang out with friends. Maybe this post could be your reference when you go to Singapore, at least when you don’t know where to go, these places are better than having dinner at Food Republic I guess…

5. KPO-Killiney Post Office Bar - Cocktails and Beers

I tried this place for the first time because of the building design. The postwar look of the building has thankfully been retained—with a few added touches of modern flair like glass walls and steel fixtures, complete with a greenhouse on the second floor. The post office is still fully functional, and it co-exists seamlessly with its adjoining café bar. There was ambient lighting in some zones, and natural lighting streaming in from the big glass panels and windows brightened up the rest. Upon walking in, there's a stretch of comfortable-looking black sofas with low tables, and a long bar counter. The prices of the drinks are quite reasonable, a bit pricey though, but I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere.

4. Wala-wala - Cocktails

The iconoclastic bar in Holland Village, Wala Wala is the 2-storey breezy cafe bar that is all about enjoying food and drinks set amidst a laidback vibe. Dine under the stars downstairs while upstairs, unwind to some of the best local musicians playing nightly. The price is considered okay, you can get cocktails for 8 SGD in happy hours. They have some local bands which present live music after 8pm. What I hate abaout this bar is they have such small tables, when I went there with troops, it would be a disaster…. Specially In weekend wala-wala has been always packed.

3. The wine company-Wine

The wine company is such a great place to enjoy “great price” of wine in Dempsey hill. Since they have various type of wine (300 types), if you’re not used to drink wine, you can ask recommendation from the waiter…. I love their service though. The place itself is cozy enough; it’s not noisy, yet sophisticated. I didn’t try the food there, but from what I heard, the foods are worth to try.

2. 5 Emerald Hills-Martini

The famous “martini” place in town, located in front of 313 Somerset; this bar is a strategic place to go after shopping. Its famous for their martini, they have a great deal for martini, 16 SGD for 2 glasses of martinis from 9 pm- 1 am. I love the building design, it’s dominated by red color, they have cute couch on the first floor, outdoor tables, and billiards pool. The best part is they serve unlimited peanuts which the nutshell can be thrown wherever you want.

After a long “hibernation” this lazy girl finally got her motivation to write again… Honestly, somehow, I felt my blog is too unsophisticated, childish, and quite vacant. I found my old posts are embarrassing… my grammar was a mess, although I cant say now it’s good but at least it’s getting better, the pictures are jokes, the design looks absolutely immature. And if I compared it other famous blog, I would feel condescended. I was thinking to close this account.

But how many of us had experienced the same thing? This sort of feeling could be happened in every aspect of our life, isn’t it?

For instance, when I opened my old high school picture I saw a short hair chubby me with “hilarious” outfit (a bright pink dress, high heels, and my hair had 4 pony tails???) I thought it’s “cool”, by some means, if I had a time machine I would go back to that moment and directly yell to the young me “change those clothes please” or “what the hell are you wearing?”.. Or when my old friend, Ellis, reminded me that I made some ridiculous email address like dun_cha_my_style@XXX.com, buzz_project@XXX.com, bulu_kaki@XXX.com. Seriously, what’s on my mind?

But, as we grown-up, our ability to judge what good and bad, changed. There’s neither true nor false. That’s just a diverse of viewpoints. The more experienced we are, hopefully, the wiser we are. I believe my journey in writing this blog is a part of my growth also, and I accepted my weaknesses and strengths as the whole me. Nothing to be regret, there’s only lessons.

And I believe if we keep ourselves confident, always try to be better, and continue to learn, nothing is impossible. I would like to practice my English writing skill, I have a lot of things to be shared to the world, I want to grow… so I decided to keep blogging and learning by practice. If you discover any mistakes on my grammar, or if you have any critics for my post, don’t hesitate to tell me…i’ll appreciate that. =)

Maybe If one day I read this post again, I’ll be thinking how embarrassing this post is…. (well, I hope not).

i just finished reading "Outliers the Story of Success", which is an astonishing book by Malcolm Gladwell. He is genius! After reading this book, i bought the other 2 previous books, "Tipping Point " and "Blink", though, i have already had his 4th book "What the Dog Saw", but i haven't finished reading it...

"Outlier" is a scientific term to describe things or phenomena that lie outside normal experience. In the summer, in Paris, we expect most days to be somewhere between warm and very hot. But imagine if you had a day in the middle of August where the temperature fell below freezing. That day would be outlier. And while we have a very good understanding of why summer days in Paris are warm or hot, we know a good deal less about why a summer day in Paris might be freezing cold. In this book I'm interested in people who are outliers—in men and women who, for one reason or another, are so accomplished and so extraordinary and so outside of ordinary experience that they are as puzzling to the rest of us as a cold day in August.

The Story of Pulau Ubin

My Journey to Pulau Ubin last saturday was nothing but fantastic. It's small island located in north part of Singapore, it's a kampoeng area which has a little number of population. Pulau Ubin has a breath taking scenery, no pollution, and the transport is convinient and easy to get there. Many Singaporean go to Pulau Ubin for enojoying it's scenery, exercise (cycling and jogging), snorkling and scuba diving and many other things... That was our first time going to Pulau Ubin , i was speechless, It's the best trip i've ever had in Singapore.. Actually i can find a place more wonderful than Pulau Ubin in Indonesia, but it's harder to reach, unlike in Singapore. I really love this place, it has wonderful lakes, hills, beautiful beaches, and Wetlands called jawa wetlands, we could see plenty of wild reptil, fishes, and birds.

If you're going to Singapore/Living in Singapore, going to Pulau Ubin is a MUST....

Here some tips before you go to this place:

1. wear a comfortable clothes/sports outfit. Short pants and T-shirt would be a great choice,you can bring a hat and sunglasses if you want. If you're going to cycling, dont forget to wear sport shoes/sneakers.

2. Bring an umbrella, the weather in Singapore is really unpredictable, sometimes the rain comes so sudden, it will be better if you have prepared before, so your trip won't be disturbed...

3. Prepare a map to get there, do study before you go, so you wont get lost. It's pretty easy actually, just go to Tanah Merah MRT station, and take bus number 2, go to last station, and you can get a bomboat to go accross. You just have to pay 2,5 SGD for the boat.

4. Use sunblock if you dont want your skin get burned

5. Dont forget to bring your Camera. along.. amazing view should be documented.

6. If you bring your own bicycle, dont forget to bring key and chain. In some place like Jawa Wetlands, you're not allowed to ride your bicycle, you'll be asked to park your bicycle in the parking lot, so for protection just bring a chain + a padlock + a key.

all sorts of hobbies and types of sports,

many foreign languages and wonders of the world....

But nothing was perfect..

So he kept his time packed up..and traveled on..

Charlie keeps walking to find his destination... but where is his destination?

Most of us have goals in life. Even if we don't exactly know what we want out of life, we know what we need to do in order to make ourselves content with our existence.

I dont know what exactly i really want in my life...

One day
I wanted to be a fashion designer, i started to draw since i was 3 years old...
I wanted to be an actress, i enjoyed performing act in front of people when i had a drama class in my high school.

I wanted to be an environmentalist, i cry seeing my earth and living things suffering because of global warming.

I wanted to be a politician, build Indonesia to be a welfare country and fight against corruption.

I wanted to be a singer, when i was watching American Idol....(haha).

I wanted to be a scientist, a painter, a business woman, an athlete, a pilot, and even a president... (i'm kidding)..

But just one thing i love the most.... it's designing...
Although i chose studying Biotechnology instead of following my passion, there's a little regret deep in my heart, but i dont want to lament my pass... i always enjoy every single second of my life. I realized i was happy when i was a univeristy student, i have never regretted meeting my Stupid and wonderful BFF's (red: Angela Jeka, Valentine, Inneke, Fance, Becky, Eric, Fredy, Febian, and Cidy) and other friends in Jakarta... I feel thankful i could be here, in Singapore, meeting new friends from many countries, visiting a lot of fascinating place, learning to speak English, getting plenty of experiences, and all of those experiences open up my mind ...seeing the world differently ...

From the time we are children, we are told to try hard in school so we can get into a respectable college, and we are told to get into a good college so we can get a well-paying job, and we are then told to get a well-paying job so we can make a lot of money. College, occupations, and money are all destinations that we want to reach in life, but we must understand the journey behind them in order to fully live.

Unlike Zouk out, which has awesome music and crazy crowd, Siloso beach party is really lame!!! i am disappointed with the Event organizer. The queue to enter sentosa express was so long and messy... Some of us were forced to deposit our bag, even my handbag and we had to pay like 6 dollar per bag. Than after we got into the party we missed the count down, and we saw the firework was ridiculous, nothing fascinating. The local DJ played the music so badly, i dont know why the EO didn't hire the better DJ... we paid like almost 50 SGD and they didn't give us quality. Okay i'm sorry i complain too much... hehe...

My Internship in Singapore

Dear reader,

Because i am not in writting mood today... i will grumble alot.. I'm sorry...

I've been missing for 1 month.... really i feel i'm getting bored to write blog now... sigh*, i'm sorry, i even couldn't reply your comment, i didn't read other blogger's blog...i admit it, i am too Lazy to take pictures, sharing them, and write this whole story... it's killing me because my english is BAD... i wish i can jus put pictures and my design without writting anything...haha...

Still remember my post about how my life after my graduation? yes, last time i worked in Lippo Group company -a property company-, but apparently i have quit from that job, and now i'm having an internship in Singapore.. I'm working in LONZA, a biopharmaceutical company, yup i'm totally getting back on my track as a scientist. You know, it can't make me feel better... i keep adoring design and art and dreaming i will work in that field someday...that feeling is killing me..

However, my internship here is good...especially because i can meet many friends from around the "world" (Asia and Australia). We hang out a lot in Singapore...

I hate the fact that Nowadays Jakarta people prefer MALLS rather than gardens. It's sad, because garden and park actually are pillars that keep the city in balance. Park and garden help to neutralized the pollution, stress, and population density. Specially a city like Jakarta,

According to the data of WHO every year an estimated 3 million people die because of air pollution or about 5% of the 55 million deaths annually world wide. 1,500 millions of the premature deaths occur in Asian cities. Many more suffer serious health effects from air pollution. The working lives of many are shortened by health problems from breathing filthy air. Six of the world’s 15 most polluted cities are found in Asia. The top positions go to 1. Katmandu, Nepal, 2. New Delhi, India, 3. Jakarta, Indonesia together with Chongqing, China. 4. Calcutta, India. A third of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions are puffed out in this region.
Are you losing sleep over air pollution?

The fact for Jakarta is that air pollution will increase in the future rather than improve mainly due to the growing number in motor vehicles. About 70% of Jakarta’s air pollution stems from pollutants puffed in the air by motor vehicles, while the remaining 30% comes from industrial emissions. Jakarta’s Traffic Police Division predicts the growth of the number of vehicles as around 5% per month. Those vehicles consume an enormous amount of diesel fuel, premium gasoline, kerosene and gas fuel. Most of the diesel fuel sold in Jakarta is low quality and gives off a lot of sulfur pollutants. Although the government has introduced unleaded gasoline to improve the air in Jakarta, experts say the capital’s air still contains the hazardous substance, one reason being that thousands of vehicles from outside Greater Jakarta travel here every day and they emit lead. A high lead content in human blood, particularly children, can cause anemia, lower intelligence, cause behavioral problems, affect fertility, and disrupt the nervous system. The phasing out of leaded gasoline is a significant achievement that should be continued. At the same time the public should also be informed that the substance that replaces lead and is called the high octane mogas component (HOMC) has a high content of olefin and aromatic. Like lead, olefin and aromatic is dirty octane, which could affect both the vehicle’s machine as well as the health of people in Jakarta. Although the administration requires vehicle owners to take emission tests, 77.6% of public and commercial vehicles in the city did not pass the test. A majority of private cars also failed the test.

A positive step towards improving the air in our city is to provide more green areas. A tree can absorb gas pollutants and neutralize them through its metabolism. It can also absorb small particles measuring less than 10 microns. The administration’s target of a mere 13.9% of green area in Jakarta by the year 2010 is insufficient to neutralize the highly polluted air. The ideal ratio of green space recommended by environmentalists and the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (WALHI) should be 30%.

That was a really fun night out with my twin sisters and my lunacy boyfriend. We chose Plaza Indonesia as a place to spent our night, having dinner in Moss Burger and watching Grown Ups really could make us laughed like a drain. We were idiotically laughing out loud in Moss Burger (plaza Indonesia) when we took each other pictures using fish eye effect... it's just such a silly pose...

And our guffaw didn't really end, Grown Up movie tickling us so badly... OMG it is a really meaningful movie.. you guys really have to watch it!!

How do we measure success?

What I discovered was a world of small-minded, partisan professionals, many of whom where there because they couldn't figure out what else to do. So I created a life inside the academy that reflected the life I wanted to lead.

Oh i'm so miserable, graduated 3 moths ago and i'm still unemployed... you know, i took biotechnology as my course, despite the fact that i love DESIGN VERY MUCH!! and i still can't see myself as a scientist for God shake! i'd rather be a business woman or a designer... but how to be what i want needs at least an experience which I don't have any. I know a lot about laboratory things, research, and biology science.. but i blind about business, a little i know about marketing...i just know how to sketching unprofessionally, or design using adobe photoshop. So how can i grab my future to be aa business woman or designer?? sometime i found myself drown regreting my past... and i just encourage myself, i can do well in any yield, even if i don't love that yield very much... i still be a cumlaude graduating student there... so i must proud to myself, keep pursuing my unrealized dream.

I've been interviewed like hundred times, maybe i am to picky, i don't like the job they offered to me, so i rejected some of them... i didn't feel like that job fits me. Now, I have found a job in property yield, that's maybe will help me to make a lot of money (i hope). While i working in that company, i'll keep searching for any chances i can take to develop my career... so wish me luck guys... and pls always support me...XOXO

How to enjoying World Cup Match -even if you're not a big fans of foot ball- is watching the WC along with your friends... ofcoz it will be more fun if your friends support the same team as you...You can see the picture bellow, yeahhh i am a big fan of German. Despite the fact that they lost in the last match against Spain, they are a great team....hope they will be winning the next match, competing the Uruguay. Anyway We were hanging out at Cosi Restaurant,that's not a real cozy place... but the waiters are awesome...they provide a kind of paint that we can use to painting our cheeks with color of our fave team's flag... fun isn't it?

Beauty Obsession

Being more mature i consider myself is getting more obsessed to beauty, not just the outlook beauty but also wholeness of the body, mind, and soul. The physical beauty is a combination of healthy eating habits, treatment, and regular exercise. Beauty look comes from within and it requires good health condition.

Face and Body Treatments

While taking care of my body, i choose some different beauty products... well, i am an inconsistent person, see... i can easily be tempted by other product brands... though, i'll tell you which are my favorites..

Facial Treatment

from left to left: Acnes powder lotion, The Bodyshop tea tree skin clearing facial wash, clearing toner, face mask, tea tree oil, and The Face Shop quick & clean oil-free moisturizing cream.

These are my facial treatment products, all of them are used for acne treatment, yup i have a pimply face and ohhhh.. it's so irritating. Most of those products is made of tea tree oil, i believe tea tree oil is effective against pimple... Tea Tree Oil (also known as Melaleuca) is a natural antibacterial disinfectant that was commonly used as a general antiseptic by the aborigine tribes for thousands of years. More recently, the scientific community has confirmed that Tea Tree Oil has tremendous medicinal benefits. It is a light yellow oil that has a scent similar to nutmeg, and it is produced by steaming tea tree leaves and then squeezing the oil out.

FYI : The Bodyshop tea tree oil products are made of tea tree oil from The Kenya Organic oil farmers, a group of smallholder farmers in Kenya, with an environmentally-friendly alternative to producing chemical-laden snow peas. Specially fantastic in a country where the majority of people live bellow the proverty line..And in a country devastated by AIDS, it gives women a way to support their families..BRAVO for The Bodyshop =))

People like to smell good. What classes as good varies from person to person, but in general spices, fruits, and flowers are preferable to the standard human body odor created by a mixture of sweat and dirt on our skin. Because of this, people have gone to great lengths throughout the ages to eliminate bad smells from their body. One popular method is applying perfume. Making perfume is an exacting science, and over the years perfumers have developed many different varieties.

From highest concentration to least, the different forms of perfume are:

Perfume, also called extract or extrait perfume, can include 15-40% perfume concentrates. This is the purest form of scented product and is the most expensive as a result.
Eau de parfum contains about 7-15% perfume concentrates. This is the most popular and common form of perfume. It provides a long-lasting fragrance and generally doesn't cost as much as extract perfume.
Eau de toilette has around 1-6% perfume concentrates. This makes for a light scent that doesn't linger as long as the more intense versions. It was originally intended to be a refreshing body splash to help people wake up in the morning.
Eau de cologne is sometimes used interchangeably with the term eau de toilette. However, the concoction began as the name of a light, fresh fragrance mixed with citrus oils and was made popular by Napoleon. Some perfumers today have a version of this called eau fraiche.

While these are the main classes of perfume, other products are frequently scented with perfume concentrates too. Lotions, creams, powders, body splashes, aftershaves, soaps, and other cosmetic products may contain variable (though usually small) amounts of fragrance.

Another Important treatment is antiprespirant deodorant, i entrust my darkening armpits problem to Rexona skin light with sunflower oil.

Healthy Life Style

Beauty is an integral part of our lives. Beauty look comes from within and it requires good health condition. Therefore, i try to combine and apply a wholeness healthy life style... besides, i want to loose some of my weight, (honestly i'm getting fatter).

Eating fresh food, low calories diet, and a lot of fiber will keep my body healthy and hopefully help me loosing my weight....

My favorite things about fruits are besides they're healthy, they taste deathly delicious... i feel pity if there's any of you doesn't like fruits... Fruit has very high nutrinional values which are so important for our health...

Fruits also contain various phytochemicals that do not yet have an RDA/RDI listing under most nutritional factsheets, and which research indicates are required for proper long-term cellular health and disease prevention. Regular consumption of fruit is associated with reduced risks of cancer, cardiovascular disease (especially coronary heart disease), stroke, Alzheimer disease, cataracts, and some of the functional declines associated with aging.

Diets that include a sufficient amount of potassium from fruits and vegetables also help reduce the chance of developing kidney stones and may help reduce the effects of bone-loss. Fruits are also low in calories which would help lower ones calorie intake as part of a weight loss diet

The next time you have toast or a sandwich, make sure you choose whole grain bread. Older adults who eat whole grain foods instead of refined grain products may be at lower risk for health conditions that can lead to diabetes and heart disease.

The study also found that older adults who choose whole grains have a lower mortality rate from cardiovascular disease than people who don't eat whole grains.

Whole grains are cereal grains that contain bran and germ as well as the endosperm, in contrast to refined grains, which retain only the endosperm. Wholegrains can generally be sprouted while processed grains generally will not sprout. Wholemeal products are made from wholegrain flour.

My Whole grain choices are: Weet-Bix Cereal, Quaker oats porridge, and breadlife wheat bread... they all taste GOODDDDD... yummy..

We often forget that healthy life style is not just about maintain our foods, problem in most of busy big and modern city is those super busy people don't have enough time to EXCERSICE... Sport is very important thing... from now on insert some excercise in the middle of your busy time as your MUST to do list...

i chose swimming as my excercise, i always swim 3-4 times a week..

i know some of you might think you're too busy to do some sport... try to ask your self honestly, i know, you're just looking for an excuse... feel guilty?? good, then change your lazy habits from now on...

I WAS VERY VERY VERY BUSYYYYYY lately...
struggled to get my BACHELOR degree, finaly, it has done... yay... i've past my last exam in 2nd of March 2010, and...here i am, my Name is Stefiani S.Si right now.. (S.Si equals to Bachelor of Science)..

i'm not very proud of it, everybocy can get one...hehe, but at least, i can breath freely right now...
i've finished my study, and i graduated successfully,
i dont know what the score is, but i hope i get an A... hehe,
i want a perfect score for my last GPA!!!

living alone in Jakarta doesn't make me feel alone, but i'm wishing a life with my family, then i wont feel empty, if my mood was bad,i wouldn't feel so sad...

my twin sisters always make me laugh, i love them verymuch...

and my parents always give me advice for my own good...
